Don’t pay motion industries or Grainger or some other distributor $455 for this motor! I received these from obsolete equipment and a canceled project and I’m willing to sell them for a decent price.
For sale is one BODINE electric company DC gear motor. This motor runs on 12 V DC and has a 60 to 1 gear ratio and is incredibly strong. The output speed is approximately 42-45 RPM.(DIRECT TACHOMETER READING) The motor itself is very strong and built like a tank. It features replaceable carbon brushes should you ever need to change them.
The three conductor cord on this motor is basically like the cord on any power tool The black and white wires supply the power to the motor and the green is for ground. THE CORD IS 28″ LONG.
WE TEST ALL UNITS WITH A MATCHING AMPHENOL CONNECTOR. THEY ARE RUN AT 12V TO ENSURE THAT THE UNITS ARE GOOD BEFORE THEY LEAVE. THEY ARE TESTED INSIDE THE BOX WITHOUT CUTTING THE STRETCH FILM !
The beauty of this motor is that it runs on 12 V which is probably the most common DC voltage available.(AUTO, BOAT, CAMPER, RV ETC.) This motor also uses a very common 1/2 inch shaft. In less than three minutes I was able to find over 15 different items from our build room that would fit on this shaft. The shaft uses a standard 1/8″ key. The key is included with the motor. If you don’t want to use the key it is easily removed with a small pair of pliers. You may then tighten the setscrew for your item on to the flat spot which is pre-ground on to the shaft.
For clarity please note that all of the items in the background that were fitted on to the shaft are used for illustration purposes only and are not part of the sale. Power supply, aluminum mount and tachometer are also not part of the sale.
You get the gear motor with shaft key and 28″ long power cord.
The motor is packed in a medium flat rate box with some of the original packing material for protection. It is not mailed in the original box because it is too large and heavy and can’t go flat rate. The blue netting and the cardboard ring are both around the shaft. This protects the key from getting lost and the shaft from punching a hole through the box.
